Cochrane House Concerts: World-Class Music to your Neighbour’s Living Room.

Do you love live music, but don’t feel like buying expensive tickets to sit in local bars? We might have what you’re looking for…

Gretchen and Peter started Cochrane House Concerts in 2018 after they moved to their new home. The concept is simple really, provide world class musicians with an audience, a meal, and a place to stay in exchange for two sets of amazing music! Over the last eight years (with a brief interruption for a pandemic) we have hosted dozens of musicians from as far away a Europe and as close as one or two towns over. Together we are building a local community of musicians and music lovers in a comfortable atmosphere welcoming one and all.

Whether your a repeat attendee or are interested in trying something new, be sure to join our email list by sending a message to info@cochranehouseconcerts.ca. At the same time please check out our events page to see what’s coming up next or visit our social media sites to see past performances and join our growing community.

What to Expect at a show?

Typically we charge $25 to attend a house concert, with all the proceeds going to the musician(s). We can comfortably host 30 people at our indoor concerts (a few more in the summer when we can move outdoors). Be sure to show up a little early to make sure you can find a place to park and we get everyone seated. When you arrive expect to be welcomed by an matronly Old English Sheepdog, a loud Sheepadoodle, two domestic shorthair cats, a 6 year old and a 15 year old who may or may not attend depending on band and hockey practices. Shows typically begin between 7:30 and 8:00 (depending on the day of the week) and finish by 9:30 and 10:00.
